At the end of last month I was given my letter to confirm that I am being made redundant at the end of July. Although I have known since November, it felt kinda weird receiving the letter. It really made it all official.Part of the redundancy support, we are given two days off a week to sort our CV and apply for jobs, which is really useful and nice for the company to do. However, I did have to fight for these days off.
As I am going to uni, I was told that I wasn't entitled to the days off.
I had to explain that I need to find a job to support myself through uni or I couldn't go. I felt like I was being discriminated against for going into further education.
I understand the arguments from both sides, however I have to be selfish here and think of myself. And it worked, as I have been given the days off to look for a new job.
So first things first, is to write up my CV. I had thought the current one would just need a bit of tweaking as it was only done last year. Turns out it will need to be a full re-write. The joy!!!
I have also been looking at available retail jobs, but there doesn't seem to be that much available in the city centre. Ideally I don't want to work all evenings and weekends, but I may have to. We shall see.

Thanks for taking time to have a read of my website/blog, and most importantly wasting some of your time making a comment. It makes it seem all worthwhile now.
